7 Kitchen Trends in 2022 You Need To Know!

Your kitchen is one of your most used spaces in your home. It’s the place you gather with your friends and family- where MANY happy memories are created! It’s important it not only looks beautiful, but is functional too.

So what kitchen trends ought you know before building your new home? Here’s seven of our current favs….

1.Splashback To The Ceiling!

So many people cut off the splash back where the upper cabinet starts for practical and affordibility reasons.

But if you’re after something a bit more lavish, you should reconsider this. Rather take the tile all the way up to ceiling height (where you can) as it feels high end, plus it gives a focal point if done on one area.

When you use a reflective or white splashback, taking it higher can also bring in extra light to a dark kitchen.

2. Black & White

Black and White Kitchen designs are featuring a lot in 2022 and you can see why- it’s a clean and timeless style.

Above is a great example of a modern black and white kitchen designed with minimal fuss. And the gold tap adds a wonderful contrasting feature.

3. Natural Colours

When it comes to colour, natural colours are entering the kitchen in a big way!

Natural blues and greens are very popular colour palettes. And as you can see the above blue cabinets give the kitchen a calming feeling. Who wouldn’t want to come home to that?

4. Whites & Warm Woods

Warm woods, black handles and appliances, and whites are very popular at the moment and it’s obvious why! Often white cabinets, are blended with warm wooden floors, furniture, and sometimes “feature wooden cabinets”, to give that contrasting country feel with a modern touch. Blended with some green plants, stone, and natural fabrics, and you’ll have a beautiful kitchen space you’ll be proud to entertain in,

5. Two-Toned Cabinetry

This trend has been a trend for a little while now and it’s holding strong. Kitchens are often multi-functional spaces so we can use colour to designate different zones, or make your island a focal point by using an accent colour.
